Margaret Ude is a mixed media artist and writer currently based in North Texas. Margaret is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Studio Art with a focus in Painting and Drawing, in addition to minors in Art History and Creative Writing.
Since their time at the University of North Texas, Margaret has been featured in the UNT College of Visual Design's Paul Voertman Gallery and Cora Stafford Gallery. During their time in undergraduate studies, they have completed mentorships under visual artists Donny Nie and Marissa Caggiano to further develop their artistic practice and professional skills .
Ude has spent their time connecting and collaborating with community to showcase artwork in public facing projects through out North Texas. Margaret has previously collaborated with UNT Dining executives to create a centerpiece glass panel mural in the only vegan dining hall on campus, Mean Green Cafe. Margaret has also been exhibited in the UNT Union Gallery space in a solo exhibition. 
 In their practice, Ude explores themes surrounded self discovery, eroticism, literary fantasy and self actualization through a lens of Blackness using representational and non representational imagery.
 In their free time, Margaret enjoys basket making, Kennie JD bad movie breakdowns, and cooking global cuisines.
